Beyonce released her new single/video combo ‘Formation’ last Saturday, performed it during the Super Bowl Halftime Show on Sunday and now has Red Lobster sales skyrocketing!
“When he f–k me good I take his ass to Red Lobster, cause I slay,” Beyonce says in the lyrics. “If he hit it right, I might take him on a flight on my chopper, cause I slay.”
It’s all because of this that Red Lobster sales have increased 33% since the song hit the world’s ears.
“It’s clear that Beyoncé has helped create some Red Lobster fans,” Red Lobster’s chief, Kim Lopdrup, said in a statement.
Red Lobster is also crediting milder weather and a ‘Lobsterfest’ promotion for the increase in sales. However, Red Lobster couldn’t be more please with Beyonce’s choice to include their name in her lyrics. The chain said the mention has them trending on Twitter for the first time ever.
