This is beyond ridiculous! A Canadian man now has a ticket with a hefty fine for getting caught texting in his vehicle…AS HE WAS IN A FAST FOOD DRIVE THRU! FoxNow says A.J. Daoust was responding to a text message in line for some Tim Horton’s (it’s like the Canadian McDonalds) when an officer knocked on his window and awarded him a ticket for 287 dollars! Daoust was beside himself with his response…
“I just asked him like, in a drive-thru, really?”
While it may seem ridiculous, the officer was apparently fully within his rights. Canada bans the use of cell phones while inside a vehicle when you are operating it. Still…at a drive thru?! I understand if he would’ve rear ended someone or something like that…but c’mon man!
