An Elkhart teacher is on paid administrative leave after a interactive Social Studies assignment gone wrong. Fox 59 says an unnamed Concord Community Schools teacher was suspended when it came to light that he was encouraging students to put “whites only” and “blacks only” signs over water fountains and bathrooms around the school. The teacher protested that his intentions were not ill, but rather to educate students about the Civil Rights movement. The school reprimanded the teachers actions, but also maintained that no malice was intended in their statement…
