Today in Rock History – November 26

Are you ready to learn some stuff? It’s November 26th and here’s what happened Today in Rock History!

Starting the day with releases as in 2002, we got Does This Look Infected? from Sum 41.

Also in 2002 we got System of a Down’s Steal This Album!

In 1968, Cream played their “final” concert together. I put quotations around final because the band would later reunite for their Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction and later a 2005 reunion tour.

With birthdays, we have Shlomi Lavie of Marcy Playground and John McVie of Fleetwood Mac!

And finally in 1989, the very first episode of MTV Unplugged premiered. Squeeze had the honor of being the first group to feature on the acoustic showcase. Unplugged would later include artists like Aerosmith, Elton John, Eric Clapton, KISS and of course Nirvana. The show would become synonymous with MTV and bring about many clones that never captured the same magic.

This has been Today in Rock History! Check back tomorrow for your next rock history lesson!
