Today in Rock History – September 28

Are you ready to learn some stuff? It’s September 28th and here’s what happened Today in Rock History!

The day begins centered on the shock rock legend Alice Cooper, as in 1983, Cooper completed rehab, beating his drug and alcohol addictions that nearly ended his marriage and his life.

Moving onto releases, we got two Cooper records: DaDa in 1983 and Raise Your Fist and Yell in 1987

Other releases on this day include Black Sabbath’s Never Say Die in 1978, Ozzy’s No Rest for the Wicked in 1988, The 2nd Law from Muse in 2012, Sex, Love and Rock ‘n’ Roll by Social Distortion in 2004 and Creed’s Human Clay in 1999!

And we’re gonna end the day a bit differently: With birthdays. We have George Lynch of Dokken, St. Vincent, Moon Zappa, and Daniel Platzman of Imagine Dragons.

This has been Today in Rock History! Keep on Rocking, keep on Rolling! Check back tomorrow for your next rock history lesson!
