Today in Rock History – August 26

Are you ready to learn some stuff? It’s August 26th and here’s what happened Today in Rock History!

Compared to yesterday, August 26th is an EXTREMELY slow day!

Starting with releases, we got Will of the People from Muse in 2022, Blur’s debut record Leisure in 1991 and All Hope Is Gone from Slipknot in 2008!

Moving onto birthdays now, we have Tyler Connolly of Theory of a Deadman, Moe Tucker of The Velvet Underground, Allison Robertson of The Donnas and Shirley Manson of Garbage!

In 1977, KISS play the first of three nights at The Forum, with each show being recorded for their upcoming live album, Alive II.

And finally in 1994, Hole returns to the stage for the first time since the death of their bass player Kristen Pfaff and Courtney Love’s husband, Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain.

This has been Today in Rock History! Keep on Rocking, keep on Rolling! Check back tomorrow for your next rock history lesson!
