Are you ready to learn some stuff? It’s June 26th and here’s what happened Today in Rock History!
Starting off with birthdays, we have Mick Jones of The Clash
Other birthdays include Paul Phillips of Puddle of Mudd and Colin Greenwood of Radiohead
In 2021, Bruce Springsteen performs at the St. James Theater on Broadway in NYC. This show was significant as it was the first full-length show on Broadway since the COVID-19 Pandemic started in 2020.
Moving onto releases, we got Living Things from Linkin Park and Goo from Sonic Youth
And finally in 1996, Van Halen announced the departure of Sammy Hagar as the band’s lead singer and said they were in studio working with original frontman David Lee Roth. Roth would only record two songs for the band’s upcoming greatest hits album, but the reunion would fail, so the band brings in Gary Cherone as their new frontman later that year. And that ended well, didn’t it?
