Now onto releases, we got A Ghost is Born from Wilco, the live album No Sleep ’til Hammersmith from Motorhead and Significant Other from Limp Bizkit!
Moving onto birthdays now, we have Dicky Barrett of the Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Steven Page of Barenaked Ladies, and Chris Traynor of Bush
In 1981, Mark Chapman pleaded guilty for murdering John Lennon in 1980. Chapman was sentenced to 20 years to life.
In 1970, a Who show in Atlanta was delayed after Pete Townshend’s flight from Memphis was stopped after Townshend made a joke about a bomb on the airplane. After hours of searching and questioning, the plane eventually took off.
In 2020, Twenty One Pilots release the video for their song Level of Concern. The video was billed as “Never-Ending,” as the video was continuously updated using footage uploaded by fans. The video came to an end on December 16th, about 178 days later.
And finally in 1970, Led Zeppelin appeared at their one and only show in Iceland. It was believed that the trip inspired the creation of their classic Immigrant Song.
