Moving onto birthdays now. We have Greg Ginn of Black Flag and Derek Trucks of The Allman Brothers Band and the Tedeschi Trucks Band!
In 1974, Rick Wakeman departs Yes to pursue a solo career. Wakeman would return two years later, then leave again after another four.
In 1970, after mistakenly driving to close to the border of East Germany, Deep Purple had their van, filled with their equipment for their European tour, impounded by police.
And finally in 1969, Brian Jones leaves The Rolling Stones after a discussion between Jones, Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Charlie Watts takes place at Jones’ home. He would be replaced by Mick Taylor. A month later Jones was found dead in his swimming pool
