Today in Rock History – March 2

Are you ready to learn some stuff? It’s March 2nd and here’s what happened Today in Rock History!

Starting with birthdays today, it’s Jon Bon Jovi’s birthday!

It’s also Lou Reed of The Velvet Underground’s birthday today!

No major album releases today, but in 1984 one of rock’s most infamous rockumentaries was released in theatres about Britain’s most infamous band, This is Spinal Tap.

We lost Steve Mackey of Pulp in 2023.

And finally in 1992, a rock group called On A Friday sign to EMI Records. The Oxford, England band would soon change their name and a year later release their first album, Pablo Honey. That band was Radiohead.
