The Smashing Pumpkins have a few albums waiting in the wings.
In a new interview drummer Jimmy Chamberlain said there is a “psychedelic record that we had on a back burner that we never got to” as well as a “Christmas record.”
He went on to explain, “You’re always either on tour, you’re doing stuff like [promo]. You’re being pulled in a million different directions. We figured out that [COVID] could be the only point in time where we have a year or even two years to just simply create music without any logistic constraints on the process.”
Singer Billy Corgan also added that, “We are already in the studio working on the follow-up to ‘Atum’’ which I’m happy to say is a straight-up rock and roll guitar record.”
Thanks, Killabrew.
