I don’t know about you, but opera is the first thing that comes to mind when I hear the name Kurt Cobain. Just kidding. But, there IS an opera in the works inspired by Kurt’s last days.
According to The Guardian, the opera will be based on Gus Van Sant’s 2005 movie titled Last Days. The film is based on Kurt’s life and follows a young musician who struggles with depression and drugs before committing suicide.
Last Days will be a part of Royal Opera House’s 2022-2023 season. That’s in London, in case you wanted to book a ticket.
