No surprise here, but New Year’s Eve is one of the biggest drinking days of the year. And according to WTHR, Christmas and New Year’s are among the deadliest holidays for drunk-driving-related fatalities.
So, Sober Ride Indiana is coming back this year. The Indiana Criminal Justice Institute director said that last year they saw over 6,000 redemptions of their $15 Uber/Lyft credits.
“Those are people who made the right decision, not only for themselves, but for other drivers on the road. No one should have to lose a loved one to impaired driving, especially during the holidays.”
The credits are up for grabs again this year. You can redeem one December 23 through January 1 during the hours of 5 PM – 3 AM.
