This morning, Mayor Joe Hogsett offered an update on the COVID restrictions currently in place in Marion County. For the time being, masks are still required. However, he is recommending the mandate be dropped on June 7 for those who are fully vaccinated per WISH.
Additionally, on June 7 capacity restrictions will be eased according to WTHR. Religious services can be held at full capacity, indoor services and entertainment venues will be upped to 75 percent, and indoor sporting venues will remain at 50 percent.
The Indianapolis City-County Council will need to approve the recommendation. Masks will still be required on public transit and in hospitals.
