Sahm’s Restaurant Group has more than a dozen restaurants in central Indiana according to IBJ. But, due to a decrease in customers since the start of the pandemic, they will be closing two of their downtown Indianapolis locations.
These include Sahm’s Cafeteria inside the OneAmerica Tower and Sahm’s Tavern on Capitol Ave. inside the Gibson Building. The former will close at the end of October. The latter has been closed since this spring and will not reopen.
Ed Sahm posted the following on Twitter:
2) But not everything is rosy. We are going to close our operations at Sahm’s Tavern as well as at One America Tower. It is heartbreaking that it has come to this. We started our agreement with One America in 2009, moving over from the BMO tower after 6 great years there.

7) So we are leaving. The Tavern will not reopen. Sahm’s will continue to serve the limited group of people working at the Tower until the end of October. We will be moving our catering operations there to our other locations at Liter House and our east side kitchen.
