Remember that Larry Bird mural in Fountain Square that artist Muckrock painted back in August? Even if you haven’t seen it in person, you might have heard about it because there was kind of a controversy.
The artist added tattoos on Larry and he wasn’t a fan. So, then the majority of them were painted over. Now, the entirety of the mural has been painted over.
The building owner asked Indianapolis resident Ryan Mullin to paint something that was reflective of what the city and the nations is currently going through. According to the Indy Star, he wanted something that would positively impact the community.
Ryan said all of the comments he’s received about the new artwork have been positive. Although, some people have said they miss seeing Larry.
