Starting it off with birthdays, its Slowhand Eric Clapton’s birthday today! You may know him from various bands like The Yardbirds, Derek and the Dominos, and Cream!

Other birthdays include Graeme Edge of the Moody Blues and Joey Castillo of Queens of the Stone Age!

Moving onto releases, we have Made in Japan from Deep Purple in 1973, Honkin on Bobo by Aerosmith in 2004, Adrenalize from Def Leppard in 1992 and This is Hardcore from Pulp in 1998

In 2022, the Foo Fighters announced the cancellation of their world tour after the death of drummer Taylor Hawkins in Colombia just five days earlier

In 1978, two members of The Clash, Paul Simonon and Nicky Headon, were arrested in Camden Town, London after shooting racing pigeons with air guns from the roof of Chalk Farm Studios. It took four police cars and a helicopter to arrest the two. They were fined a total 800 Euros ($1,360).

Pink Floyd began their final world tour in 1994, promoting their newest album The Division Bell.

In 1976, at The 100 Club in London, The Sex Pistols played their first show. In June of that year, the band would take residency at the club.

And finally in 2001, the Detroit Free Press broke the news that Jack and Meg White of the White Stripes are, in fact, NOT siblings as the band claimed, but were formerly married. Rolling Stone and the New York Times are among many publications that previously reported the divorced couple were brother and sister.
