Are you ready to learn some stuff? It’s February 18th and here’s what happened Today in Rock History!

Starting with birthdays as we have the late Gar Samuelson of Megadeth!
Other birthdays include Dennis DeYoung of Styx, Yoko Ono, Keith Knudsen of the Doobie Brothers, Robbie Bachman of BTO, Cheetah Chrome of the Dead Boys and Brian James of The Damned
Its also a big day for The Damned as today is anniversary of their debut record Damned Damned Damned in 1977! Other releases we got are The King of Limbs by Radiohead in 2011 and KISS’s debut record in 1974!
It’s another big day for KISS as, just a few years later in 1977, they played their very first show at Madison Square Garden in their hometown of NYC!
In 1968, David Gilmour joined Pink Floyd.
In 2004, a court case against Marilyn Manson was dismissed after both parties reached a settlement. The court case involved a security guard accusing Manson of sexual assault after Manson allegedly put his legs around the guard’s neck and gyrated against him during a show in Detroit. Manson was ordered to pay $4,000 in fines and courts costs.
And finally in 1990, Freddie Mercury made his final public appearance, accepting the Brit Award for Outstanding Contribution to Music with his bandmates from Queen.
