Today in Rock History – February 7

Are you ready to learn some stuff? It’s February 7th, here’s what happened Today in Rock History!

Starting off with Releases today. We have Van Halen’s A Different Kind of Truth in 2012, Frizzle Fry from Primus in 1990 and Iggy Pop and The Stooges’ Raw Power in 1973!

With birthdays, we’ve got David Bryan of Bon Jovi, Danny Goffey of Supergrass, Wes Borland of Limp Bizkit and Sully Erna of Godsmack!

In 1980, Pink Floyd premiered their live version of The Wall in L.A.

In 1994, Shannon Hoon of Blind Melon was forced to leave the American Music Awards for being loud and disruptive. He was later charged with battery, assault, resisting arrest and destroying a police station phone.

In 1980, AC/DC appeared on Top of the Pops and performed Touch Too Much. This TV appearance would be the final time Bon Scott would appear alongside his bandmates as he would die 12 days later.

And finally in 2004, Queen’s We Will Rock You topped a poll to find the greatest rock anthems of all time. The song it just beat out for first, Bohemian Rhapsody.
