Other birthdays include Adrian Vandenberg of Whitesnake, Jason Cooper of The Cure, and Jeff Hanneman of Slayer

We lost Dewey Martin of Buffalo Springfield in 2009 and John Wetton of King Crimson and Asia in 2017 at the age of 67 from cancer

In 1985, John Fogerty returned to the stage for his first live show in years. It brings Fogerty back into the limelight, as two weeks earlier he released his comeback album Centerfield, his first in 10 years.

And finally in 1969, while performing on their first North American tour, Led Zeppelin made a stop at The Fillmore East in New York. The second opener on the bill, it was alleged that due to Zeppelin’s powerful performances, headliners Iron Butterfly refused to follow them.
