In 1986, Ozzy Osbourne went to court as the parents of John McCollum, a depressed teen who shot himself while listening to Osbourne’s Suicide Solution, sued the Ozzman. The McCollum’s claimed that their son was driven to suicide by the song. The case would be thrown out.
We lost Sylvain Sylvain of the New York Dolls in 2021 at the age of 69 from cancer.
And finally in 1973, with the help of many friends including Pete Townsend, Ronnie Wood and Steve Winwood among others, Eric Clapton returned to the stage for the first time in 18 months to perform at the Rainbow Theatre in London. Townshend organized the concert to help Clapton kick his heroin addiction. The first show of two, both shows were recorded and later released as Eric Clapton’s Rainbow Concert record.
