Are you ready to learn some stuff? It’s November 19th and here’s what happened Today in Rock History!
Starting our rather small day with some big releases, as we got TWO Zeppelin works: Their live reunion work Celebration Day in 2012 and their final studio work Coda in 1982!
Other releases include Joe’s Garage Acts II & III by Frank Zappa in 1979 and Razorblade Suitcase from Bush in 1996!
The Beatles Anthology premiered on ABC in 1995. The 6 hour program aired three nights that week.
Moving onto birthdays, we have Matt Sorum of Guns N Roses and Justin Chancellor of Tool!
We lost Kevin Dubrow of Quiet Riot from a drug overdose in 2007.
And finally in 1994, Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers appeared on Saturday Night Live with Dave Grohl on drums. After the performance, Grohl expressed interest in joining the band. Petty turned him down.
