Today in Rock History – November 12

Are you ready to learn some stuff? It’s November 12th and here’s what happened Today in Rock History!

Starting the day off with birthdays, we have the legend Neil Young!

We also got Young’s self-titled solo debut in 1968 and YES’ Fragile in 1971!

to be continued…

Queen began their first tour in 1973, opening for Mott the Hoople.

In 1965, The Velvet Underground made their live debut, performing at the Summit High School in New Jersey. The band was paid just $75 for the gig.

We lost Mitch Mitchell of the Jimi Hendrix Experience in 2008.

And finally in 2001, it was the last time the three living Beatles were together in one place as Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr met with George Harrison in NYC for lunch. Harrison would die two weeks later, aged 58.
