The film Detroit Rock City released in theaters in 1999. Set in 1978, it follows four teenage boys who try to see their favorite band KISS in a concert in Detroit. Considered a mixed bag from critics, the film has become a cult classic, especially with KISS fans.

In 2017, David Bowie makes a posthumous appearance on an episode of Twin Peaks: The Return with the help of archive footage from the original series’ prequel film Fire Walk With Me.

And finally in 1994, the first day of Woodstock ’94 began in Saugerties, NY! Billed as “2 More Days of Peace & Music”, the festival marked the 25th anniversary of the original 1969 festival. Featured on that weekends bill included Aerosmith, Metallica, Green Day, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Blind Melon, Nine Inch Nails, and Primus as well as performances from many of the original Woodstock’s acts!
