Bats and Rock seem to go hand-in-hand (Hi Ozzy and Meatloaf!), but a new aspect of the Bat-Rock Mythos came to a head when Taylor Momsen of The Pretty Reckless got a surprise visitor during their set opening for AC/DC in Seville last week.
While performing the band’s song Witches Burn, a bat flew under her dress and clung to her leg. She wasn’t aware what had happened until the crowd started screaming and pointing. Sometime during the altercation, if you can call it that, Momsen was bitten by the furry little creature.
After the set, Taylor went to the hospital and after being dubbed “Batgirl” by hospital staff, confirmed on her Instagram that she was bit and is getting rabies shots for the next two weeks.
Momsen is definitely embracing the “Batgirl” nickname, as she posted another photo to her Instagram, featuring her next to a “NO BATS” sign.
