Starting off with releases, we got Clancy from the Twenty One Pilots, we also got both Bad Company’s debut and David Bowie’s Diamond Dogs in 1974
Moving onto birthdays now, we have Rich Robinson of The Black Crowes and Alessandro Cortini of Nine Inch Nails
We lost Paul “The Pig” Gray of Slipknot in 2010
In 2010, at a Lamb of God show in Prague, a fan was pushed off stage by Randy Blythe. The fan fell backward, hits his head, and died two weeks later. Blythe was unaware of the fan’s injury and Czech authorities issued a warrant for his arrest. After returning to play a show in 2012, Blythe was arrested, held in prison for five weeks, and later stands trial but is cleared of all charges.
In 2016, Gord Downie of The Tragically Hip announces that he has terminal brain cancer. Downie, after going through treatment, performs one final time with the band in their hometown of Kingston, Ontario later that year in August.
In 1977, Marc Bolan plays his final show with T. Rex before his death in September of that year.
