Starting off strong for releases as we got not one, but TWO Weezer albums: Make Believe in 2005 and their self-titled debut aka the Blue Album in 1994.

What? Expecting the funny guitar bit? Sigh. Fine.

Moving on now. We also got Modern Life Is Rubbish by Blur in 1993 and Stay Hungry from Twisted Sister in 1984.

Moving onto birthdays now, we have the late Sid Vicious of the Sex Pistols

Its also Danny Carey of Tool and Richard Patrick of Filter’s birthdays today

In 1986, Tommy Lee gets married to actress Heather Locklear. That lasted about seven years.

A sour day for Daughtry fans as it was on this day in 2006 that Chris Daughtry was voted off Season 5 of American Idol.

In 1974, The Who sell out Madison Square Garden in a record eight hours. In the day and age before Ticketmaster and online sellers, this is a major feet.

And finally, ALSO in 1974, Led Zeppelin launch their own record label. Called Swan Song, the label not only releases solo efforts from Zeppelin members Jimmy Page and Robert Plant, the label also releases album from groups like Pretty Things and Bad Company.
