A top executive at Warner Bros. Discovery revealed that a password-sharing crackdown would happen at Max.
While singing the praises of Netflix’s crackdown on password sharing, J.B. Perrette, president/CEO of global streaming and games at Warner Bros. Discovery, said, “We’re going to be doing that starting later this year and into 2025.”
Max updated its terms of use in February to reflect that Warner Bros. Discovery could “modify access or disable features, including for security reasons to limit the impact of sharing outside of the household.”
An ad-supported plan is also being worked on for the streaming service.
What are your thoughts on the crackdown on password sharing? Thanks, Killabrew.
