Are you ready to learn some stuff? It’s March 7th and here’s what happened Today in Rock History!
Starting it off with releases as in 2000 we got The Sickness from Disturbed. Say it with me now! OOH WAH AH AH AH!
The White Stripes also released this classic single off of their album Elephant.
One birthdays today and that belongs to Alessandro Venturella of Slipknot!
In 2001, David Balfe, the man who discovered Blur, won a two year court battle with EMI to earn over $270K in back royalties after selling his label Food Records to EMI in 1994.
Shocker, choosing that song for Blur, huh?
In 1987, The Beastie Boys become the first hip-hop group to have a No. 1 record, with their debut album Licensed to Ill.
And finally, on the same day in 1987, Beastie appeared on Soul Train, where they performed Brass Monkey. Host Don Cornelius is won over and tells the Boys, “You’re very chilling, very hip, and we like your music.”
