Today in Rock History – February 26

Are you ready to learn some stuff? It’s February 26th and here’s what happened Today in Rock History!

Starting off with birthdays, we have the one, the only, The Man in Black, Johnny Cash

It’s also Josephine Wiggs of The Breeders and Tim Commerford of Audioslave and Rage Against the Machine’s birthdays today.

Its kind of a slow one today, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t importance with today, as in 1995 former Zeppelin members Jimmy Page and Robert Plant began their year-long world tour supporting their live No Quarter reunion album.

And finally 30 years earlier, before joining the Yardbirds and Zeppelin, Jimmy Page released a solo record titled She Just Satisfies. He played all the instruments except the drums, sang lead vocals and produced the track himself. It is to date his only solo effort.

Lotta Zeppelin today I’ve noticed
