I’m not convinced that the departure of the Mexican Pizza in 2020 wasn’t just a PR stunt by Taco Bell. To be honest, I’ve never had one. But, I know people who love them, and it seems like the internet went up in flames when they were removed from the menu.
In fact, before it even officially left stores, over 170,000 people signed a petition on Change.org. Taco Bell actually gave partial credit of the comeback to the creator of the petition, Krish Jagirdar.
Stunt or not, the Mexican Pizza will return to the menu permanently beginning on May 19 per Food and Wine. Unless you’re a loyalty member—you can grab it at a drive-thru near you starting on May 17.
