If you look up Heartbreaker in Irvington on Yelp!, it now shows the dreaded Permanently Closed banner. The restaurant closed for good this past Thursday (February 24), making the announcement on Instagram.
According to the post, the owners—who also run Landlocked and Strange Bird—found themselves running out of space for their other restaurants. The said they are “more in our element serving coffee, cocktails, ramen and pastry, and we’re going to narrow our focus to those.”
They will move Landlocked to the Heartbreakers space, which will in turn free up space for food production and seating.
Fans of the Heartbreaker menu will still be able to get their favorites for a bit. Strange Bird will be offering up burgers, fries and more for a limited time.
