It’s been a good run, but it looks like the Washington Football Team is about to say goodbye to their very non-descript moniker soon.
According to CBS 4, the NFL team will be announcing their new name on February 2. While we don’t know what the new team name will be yet, we know it will NOT be the Wolves or RedWolves.
There are still plenty of options remaining from the list of finalists including: Commanders, Admirals, Armada, Brigade, Sentinels, Defenders, Red Hogs and Presidents.
Personally, I hope they keep the Washington Football Team. There’s already merch, football fans are used to saying/hearing it, and it lacks so much originality that it actually kind of became original.
