Should High Schools Teach Money Management? Only 8% of Us Say No

Home School Studying Teaching Together Casual Concept

High School taught me nothing about the world. College didn’t really do much either. I mean about how to function in the real world. Check booking, being responsible with money, and how to pay bills. DIdn’t learn any of that.

Here’s a good question as school starts back up:  Should high schools teach kids how to handle money and avoid debt?  A new poll asked 1,500 people if personal finance should be taught in schools, and almost everyone says YES.

83% said “yes” or “DEFINITELY yes” . . . another 9% said maybe . . . and only 8% think it’s a bad idea.

A similar survey a few years ago asked recent high school graduates what type of course would help them the most.  And money management dominated with 50% of the vote.  Math was next at 18%.
