I Walked In On My Dogs Doing THE DEED!

Quick backstory. Forrest is our rescue that we have had since July 2010. He is 12 years old. He humped our boy dogs (without insertion) for dominance. He isn’t the most coordinated. He has humped a lot of thighs in a very awkward manner. He is the one on the left. For 10 years, we didn’t think he is interested in girls.

Chelsea is another rescue that we picked up last year. Her owner could no longer take care of her, after a house fire, and she was living on the streets outside a homeless shelter.  We couldn’t get her fixed thanks to Covid. Now that we can, she is in heat. Forrest will not leave her alone.  One minute, she looks terrified of him. The next, she is in his face trying to serve it up like a buffet. She is the one on the right.

On Friday night, the worst thing happened. I was moving the jeep so my GF could run to the store. I cam into the kitchen to see Forrest on top of Chelsea. They were shocked. I was shocked. I should mention that Forrest is deaf and cannot hear me when I yell, “Get off of her!” They got stuck and he couldn’t get out of her. I immediately call my GF and tell her to get back immediately. So both of us are holding 2 dogs that litterally will not come apart.

I call the emergency vet. The poor girl that answered the phone hears…. “My male dog is litterally stuck inside of my female dog and I cannot get them apart.”  She puts me on hold to get medical advice. We decided to get  ice cubes, while on hold, and cause shrinkage. It worked. They seperated. We remained traumatized. Is this the same thing that parents with human kids go through if they walk in on them?

The picture is right after. Forrest looks like he wants a cigarette and Chelsea looks ashamed.
