Back in the Day on August 27

Back in 2009, I was hanging with Alice In Chains. They just released an album, we were all haning out , and drinking beer from red solo cups. It was like college accept for the fact the Jerry Cantrell was asking me what I thought of his music.

That was 2009. Here is what else happened back in the day….

38 years ago – In 1982, Rickey Henderson,of the Oakland A’s, stole four bases in a game to break Lou Brock’s record of 118 steals in one season.  Rickey ended the season with 130 stolen bases.  He retired from baseball in 2003.

36 years ago – In 1984, President Reagan announced that schoolteacher Christa McAuliffe would be the first private citizen to fly aboard a space shuttle.

She was killed when the Space Shuttle Challenger exploded in January 1986.

31 years ago – In 1989, Izzy Stradlin from Guns n Roses was arrested for peeing on the floor of an airplane after a heated argument with a flight attendant.

29 years ago – In 1991, Pearl Jam released their debut album “Ten”, featuring their hits “Even Flow”“Jeremy”, and “Alive”.
