Chris Jericho Is Feeling Some Heat And Not In A Wrestling Ring

I like Jericho. At 48, he has manged to reinvent himself and remain relevant. He really does do a lot of things well, but he is catching some heat these days. He played 4 shows last week and people are not happy about it. Concerts in 2020 have been frowned upon for health reasons.

After the first show, people saw photos of the concert on social media and took to Twitter to voice their criticism about it.

As a result, Fozzy has been trending on the social media platform. Obviously, the United States just like the rest of the world is still dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic. People had issues with a photo showing a moshpit with a lack of social distancing and fans not wearing masks.

The majority of Fozzy’s tour dates that had been scheduled for the summer were postponed due to illness. However, the band was able to keep a few bookings this month in South Dakota, and North Dakota, and in Fort Madison.

Fans have been calling him and the band out:

In the opening minutes of his Saturday Night Special live stream, Jericho provided some insight about holding shows during this time.

“The reason why the shows have happened is because these states of North Dakota and South Dakota have low COVID cases, less than 1000 in both states. I think Florida had 9000 today alone. The venues are either outside, or they are half capacity. We are sold out tonight in Minot with I think 50% capacity, last night we were sold out in Sioux Falls, SD with 35% capacity.

We hand out masks at the door, the temperature checks, we stay on the bus all day, the Fozzy crew and camp have been tested”

Where I defend him, Fozzy isn’t selling out 20 thousand seat arenas. Still, on a day where Marion County Bars and Clubs must remain closed, it is not the best look.
