JC Penney announced their bankruptcy filing a couple of weeks ago. The company said it would close over 200 stores, which would leave 600 still in business.
On Thursday, they announced the first 154 closures and eight of them are in Indiana. According to USA Today, if a judge gives the okay, the closing sales will begin shortly after June 11.
Eight Indiana stores are on the list, including Muncie and the Indianapolis location on Michigan Rd.
Here are all of the locations in the first round:
Muncie: Granville Ave.
Vincennes: Niblack Blvd.
Elkhart: S. Main St. (U.S. 33)
Bedford: James Ave.
Richmond: National Rd. E
Madison: E. Clifty Dr.
Plymouth: Pilgrim Ln.
Indianapolis: Michigan Rd.
