Two House Democrats have decided that a one-time payment is not enough for Americans. So, they have introduced a bill that would send monthly checks of $2,000 during the coronavirus pandemic.
Per WTHR, under the Emergency Money for the People Act, every American 16 and older would qualify for the money as long as they make less than $130,000 per year. Additionally, families with kids would get $500 per child up to three kids.
And unemployed people would also be eligible for the money.
Payments would be guaranteed for six months.
