Indiana State Police are apparently over people that don’t give room to the vehicles pulled over to the side of the road. Perhaps that’s fair, but they are cracking down.
ISP will be enforcing the “Move Over” law. According to WTHR, “when an emergency, road crew or utility vehicle is stopped on the side of the road” you have a couple options:
- move over to the next lane
- slow down to 10 mph under the posted speed limit
Don’t be the first one they have to pull over and tell this to… Because you’ll also leave with a fine.
Be safe — if you see the flashing lights or somebody working on the shoulder, get to the opposite side and just avoid another accident, and that pesky ticket.
