Well, it was fun while it lasted. But according to Billboard, Woodstock 50 has been cancelled. Dentsu Aegis Network, who was funding the festival said:
“We don’t believe the production of the festival can be executed as an event worthy of the Woodstock Brand name.”
Tickets were supposed to go on sale a few days ago, but the deadline was missed. Performers slated for the August festival were The Killers, Dead and Co, Imagine Dragons, Jay-Z, Miley Cyrus, The Lumineers, Chance the Rapper, Sturgill Simpson, Halsey and Cage the Elephant, John Fogerty, John Sebastian and David Crosby.
