Tomorrow, February 20, marks 24 years since John Singleton became the first Black director to be nominated for an Academy Award for “Boyz N The Hood.” But that’s not all – he was also the youngest at just 24 years old! He went on to direct “Poetic Justice,” “2 Fast 2 Furious,” “Hustle & Flow,” and “Higher Learning,” along with many more.
