Jay-Z SUED Over Fragrance Sales

Apparently he didn’t push a product like he said he would!

From Perez Hilton:

Parlux Fragrances says their business stinks thanks to Jay Z! The scent manufacturer is suing the music mogul, claiming the 46-year-old didn’t really try to push their product like he promised. The hitmaker had a licensing agreement with the company, in which he allowed Parlux to use his name and image for the 2013 cologne line Gold Jay Z. But the way it’s been selling — or rather, not selling — it probably should have been called Bronze Jay Z. That’s because the manufacturer is saying Beyoncé’s husband was supposed to have a more active role in promoting the brand. Apparently, the famous father declined to do promotional appearances at Macy’s, in Women’s Wear Daily, or on Good Morning America. And, they claim the artist skipped out on meetings for follow-up fragrances, which is why those new products never hit store shelves. He also supposedly passed on posting about the cologne on social media. But we’re betting Jay wishes he had taken the three seconds to craft a few 140-character tweets now, because Parlux is asking for a pretty penny! The company says Gold Jay Z should have raked in $50 million within two years, but instead retailers are returning the fragrances! They’re suing for $18 million in damages.
