Like many, I binged on Netflix’s docu-series ‘Making A Murderer’ over the holiday. I was instantly sucked into this case I could not believe I had not heard about up until recently. To say I was sitting there in disbelief, aw and with my jaw-dropped isn’t even close to an exaggeration.
I have seen people talking about the show everywhere I have been over the past couple of weeks: here at 93.9 The Beat, holiday gatherings, social media, etc. Everyone is talking about this show!
Even further, there are now nearly 200,000 people who have signed a petition for President Obama to pardon Steven Avery, one of the subject of Netflix’s MAM.
“Steven Avery should be exonerated at once by presidential pardon, and the Manitowoc County officials complicit in his two false imprisonments should be held accountable to the highest extent of the U.S. criminal and civil justice systems,” the Change.org petition states.
If you haven’t watched this, I highly recommend giving it a shot! Surely a nail-biter as you won’t be able to get up off the couch until the tenth episode concludes. As for the filmmakers and their motive behind producing such a riveting docu-series, here is what one had to say:
