Indianapolis Business Journal is completely blowing my mind this morning. First they drop the knowledge that there are over 70 Starbucks in town, then tell me 9 of those locations will be getting permits to serve beer and wine! This crazy news is part of a new strategy by Starbucks to try and lure more customers after the 4 pm hour. IBJ said the following locations have submitted alcohol permit requests so far…
5601 N. Illinois St. in the Butler Tarkington neighborhood
1250 E. 86th St. in Nora, 8702 Keystone Crossing Blvd. in the Fashion Mall,
6920 Lake Plaza Drive near East 71st Street and Binford Boulevard.
Not bad spots if you ask me. If I were a betting man I would say well probably see one pop up at the Starbucks in the Circle and the one on Mass Ave near that weird head statue. Broad Ripple also seems like a safe bet but then again I don’t see Starbucks trying to go head to head with a legit bar!
