We’ve all seen the video — and I’m going to be honest, I’ve been tempted to put a cucumber next to my cat to watch her jump… but…. experts are telling people to STOP, because cats associate their food with safety, so surprising them while they’re eating can mess with their heads. “National Geographic” just did an article about it.
As for why they’re scared of cucumbers, it might be because they resemble snakes . . . but it’s probably that they don’t like seeing random stuff on the floor that you put there just to mess with them.
