A bizarre headline from Fox 59 is catching a lot of eyes this morning. A Noblesville church group is asking for help after 30 lawn flamingos turned up missing from someones yard. The flamingos were part of a fundraiser for the church group in which people paid $30 to have the flamingos placed in the lawn of their choosing and the owner would pay $15 to get them removed.
The church responsible says they believe teens are responsible for the crime…but I’m going to be honest I think the homeowner in the place it was at threw them away! I understand a good natured fund raiser, but you’re playing with fire giving people the ability to prank others…and you had to know there would be some backlash! I’m not saying I know anything, I’m just saying I know people and I know myself. I would not pay any amount of money to have something removed from my property without my permission.
Still it is sad that the flamingos have not been returned to the church as it will set them back on their fundraiser.
