OK – candy would NEVER last this long in my house.. but, maybe in yours?
Chocolate — Dark and milk varieties can last for 1 to 2 years. Wrap it in foil and store in a dry, odor-free spot.
Jellied candies — Unwrapped in a candy dish, they’ll last for 6 to 9 months if kept away from heat and light. If wrapped, they’re good for a full year.
Hard Candy – You’ll want to throw it out after 1 year of storage at room temperature.
Candy Corn — in unopened packages will last up to 9 months, but stray corns only keep for 3 to 6 months.
And for Caramel — Keep it covered and away from heat and it’ll last for 6 to 9 months. Or freeze it and save it for next year.
