DePauw student Bryce Maurio is turning the tables though and making around 500k yearly off his fantasy leagues! The student talked to Fox 59 and said his success is a secret he sells to friends, and he puts in a lot of work to figure out spreads…
“When you’re doing this, I have to analyze 15 teams every player on every team, every situation. There are price considerations to take into account and roster requirements. It’s a far more complex problem than just picking a side to win or picking a point spread.”
It’s a gamble still, and to win as much as he does, Maurio has to wager great amounts to see a large payout. Sometimes he can lose $50,000 after a bad game! Yikes…something tells me I shouldn’t try to emulate him…my heart couldn’t handle that.
