Rob Lowe making a statement you don’t hear every day this morning. The actor told Winnipeg Press that alcoholism actually made him a better person. Of course there was a caveat to that statement, it’s not like he’s some Charlie Sheen or anything. The actor’s full statement can be found below.
“Being in recovery has given me everything of value that I have in my life. Integrity, honesty, fearlessness, faith, a relationship with God, and most of all gratitude. It’s given me a beautiful family and an amazing career. I’m under no illusions where I would be without the gift of alcoholism and the chance to recover from it.”
I’m glad to have seen him make a comeback after so many years on bottom, although it makes you wonder what his career could have become had he never fallen off to begin with.
